|
 |
|

you want the person receiving your e-mail to identify you.
Click the Next button. |
|
 |
|
|
4.
Make sure that the "I already have an e-mail address..." is checked, and
enter your new DFWAir.net e-mail address (this is also your Account
Name).
Click the Next button. |
|
 |
|
|
5.
Make sure that the Incoming Mail Server is set to POP3.
For your Incoming Mail Server, enter "mail.dfwair.net"
(without the quotes)
For your Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server, enter "mail.dfwair.net"
(without the quotes)
Click the Next button. |
|
 |
|
|
6.
Enter your Account Name (this is the same as your e-mail address) and
your password. USER NAME MUST be "
username@dfwair.net".
Click the Next button. |

8. In the tabs across the top of the following window,
click Servers. Under Outgoing Mail Server, make sure the the "My Server
Requires Authentication" checkbox is marked.
If you click the Settings button, make
sure that the option for "Use Same Settings as My Incoming Mail Server"
is selected. |

9. In the tabs across the top of that same window, click
Advanced. Near the bottom is a checkmark box that says "Leave a copy of
messages on server."
If you're only going to be checking your
email with Outlook Express, make sure this checkbox is NOT checked. This
will delete all old messages off the server and will clean up your
mailbox. If you don't checkmark it, everything will be saved on the
server, resulting in an accumulation of old e-mails that might clog up
your account. REMEMBER: you only have 20 megabytes of space to store
e-mail.
Click OK, and you're ready to go! |
